S1mple Returns to Compete With NAVI at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022
The star player will be joining NAVI for the road ahead.
The ace player for Natus Vincere (NAVI), Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, has announced his return to the team. The Ukrainian is on his way to Copenhagen, Denmark where the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 is currently taking place.
S1mple missed out on the crucial group stage of the tournament which basically decides a team's seeding for the next stage, but he is on his way to join NAVI ahead of its match scheduled to take place on 27th August.
Even in the absence of its star player NAVI has fared well enough, fighting through the lower bracket of the group stage and winning three matches in a row to directly qualify for the finals of the gauntlet stage.
S1mple to join NAVI ahead of its gauntlet stage match at the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022
Ahead of the ongoing BLAST tournament, it had become public knowledge that s1mple might be missing out on the tournament completely or a part of it, due to personal reasons that have not been revealed thus far.
This is why NAVI decided to bootcamp along with, Danyyl "headtr1ck" Valitov, who is a talented rifler for NAVI Junior. This turned out to be handy because s1mple was unable to join the team in time and they had to play without him through the opening stage of BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022.
It was a slow start because NAVI lost its opening match against Complexity Gaming with a harsh '9-16' scoreline. Taking a moment to compose themselves, NAVI went on to win its next two lower bracket matches to reach the finals of the group stage where it handed a dominating '16-4' defeat to Liquid.
NAVI not only topped 'Group-B' but also went on to directly qualify for the finals of the gauntlet stage where it currently awaits the match set to take place on 27th August.
Now, s1mple has announced that he will be joining the team in Copenhagen, Denmark where the tournament is being conducted in an offline format. This only adds more firepower to NAVI and makes the Ukrainian organization all the more dangerous.
The young headtr1ck delivered a phenomenal performance across all the four maps that he played for NAVI, walking away with an overall HLTV rating of 1.12 along with a K/D of +14.
He took good care of his individual game without being too much of a burden on the team, as they passed the test of playing without their best player with flying colors.
NAVI's lineup for the rest of its matches at the tournament will be as follows:
Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev
Denis "electroNic" Sharipov
Valeriy "b1t" Vakhovskiy
Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy
Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev
Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy - Coach
