One of the best CS:GO players in the world Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has come forward to name the members of his CS:GO dream team. He named all the six members of the team in a recent interview with ESL Counter-Strike, not putting himself in the roster to present what he considers to be the best CS:GO superteam in the world. The list included players from almost all the regions, with the decisive role of an AWPer being awarded to the best CS:GO player of 2020 Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, who has now beaten s1mple for the title two years in a row.

Read on to find out the names of all the players chosen by s1mple to represent his CS:GO dream team.

S1mple's CS:GO Dream Team

S1mple starts naming his best six players of all time by picking the in-game leader (IGL) for his side. He chooses Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander to lead his dream team while stating that,

I think the best IGL of all time is gla1ve because Astralis has a lot of achievements, won a lot of tournaments in a row with really great result and really consistent performance.

He then goes on to name the coach for his dream team, selecting Andrii "B1ad3" Gorodenskyi who is the current Natus Vincere coach, under whom s1mple has been playing for the past three years. He commends him for not only being a great coach but also a figure who has helped shaped a lot of young talent from 2013 onwards.

He knows how to create stars and tell them what is right to do, upgrade their skills, and help them progress more.

When it came to picking an AWPer for his side, s1mple without any hesitation picked ZywOo, even over himself. The reason was simply ZywOo being a great player, who knows how to play smart with an AWP, while also reading his enemies very well. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev

The position of a support was handed over to Spencer "Hiko" Martin who is no longer a professional CS:GO player. Instead he has retired and moved over to Valorant, currenly playing for 100 Thieves.

S1mple who has previously played with Hiko during the initial phase of his career praised him by calling him selfless, helpful, and "one of the greatest teammates and one of the smartest guys".

While calling the role of an entry fragger to be the toughest, s1mple goes on to pick Håvard "rain" Nygaard for this position. He recalled his entry fragging stint with FaZe Clan which started in January 2016 and has continued till this very day.

For the final role of a star player, s1mple goes on to nominate his longtime teammate Denis "electronic" Sharipov who despite being overshadowed by s1mple has had his moments of glory.

This guys is on another level. Me and electronic, I think we have the same mindset. Electronic can easily be a star player in any team.
Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev

This completes s1mple's CS:GO dream team, the names of all his best six players of all time as follows,

  • Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander

  • Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut

  • Spencer "Hiko" Martin

  • Håvard "rain" Nygaard

  • Denis "electronic" Sharipov

  • Andrii "B1ad3" Gorodenskyi
