S1mple Calls Woro2k 'Stupid Player' During Heated CS:GO Argument
Was it ego or arrogance that came in the way?!
The recently concluded Kinguin Legends was meant to be a fun CS:GO tournament with an aim to celebrate some of the best players to have ever touched the game.
However, drama is never too far from CS:GO as a heated argument took place on Twitter between Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk, on the very last day of the tournament.
Following an intense grand final match between Team Edward and Team Maikelele, Woro2k made a public statement where he thanked all members of the Ukrainian lineup except s1mple.
He said that it was no fun to play CS:GO with him after the first map, while also calling him out for doing "nothing himself". This comment provoked a harsh response from s1mple as the two players started going back and forth.
Ukrainian CS:GO players s1mple and Woro2k engage in an argument on Twitter
Two Ukrainian CS:GO who represented Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev's team during the Kinguin Legends tournament - s1mple and Woro2k - became embroiled in a gameplay related dispute on Twitter, which resulted in harsh statements being exchanged between them.
The 21-year-old upcoming talent, Woro2k, went on to state that he had absolutely no fun playing with s1mple, who alleged spoke negatively about him to someone.
"It's a shame to realize that the player you love the most (s1mple), except for crying and telling someone something, did nothing himself," said Woro2k, which resulted in a retort by the other person.
Without mincing his words, s1mple pointed out that Woro2k had no understanding of team play in CS:GO, alleging that he does not open his mouth to communicate with others on the team.
"One day you will understand what team play in FPS (first person shooter) games means and maybe you will start (to) open your mouth and give info so other players will enjoy playing." said s1mple, adding a snide remark, "Time passes quickly, start making progress."
Woro2k was quick with his response saying that even if he lacked communication skills, it did not give s1mple any right to speak bad about him. He further wished that the NAVI star player starts making progress ahead of the playoffs for the ESL Pro League Season 16.
This is when s1mple decided to end the argument from his side by straight away commenting that "I think you (are a) stupid player, that's what I think."
In one last response Woro2k mentioned that even s1mple played a few rounds "like a bot" during the tournament and insisted that he focus on his own game instead of saying all this to other players.
