A one-of-a-kind CS:GO event is being conducted by Kinguin, a global digital marketplace for games, under its brand new esports tournament series called Kinguin Legends that is aimed at "reigniting the legendary stories of esports pros from across the world."
The first edition of this tournament is focused on CS:GO with six legendary veterans, who are either retired or currently inactive, receiving a direct invite. They will be participating with their own respective lineups while acting as the captains themselves.

As per the tournament rules, the team captains were allowed to invite anyone as part of their lineup as long as the average age of the team was 26 years and above.
Results and Schedule
The Kinguin Legends CS:GO Tournament is scheduled to take place online from 13th to 18th September.

Format
The tournament has been divided into two stages - Group Stage and Playoffs.
A total of six teams will be competing in the group stage of the tournament, following a round robin where every match will be a single map affair.
The top four teams will move on to the playoffs while the remaining two teams will be eliminated.
The playoffs will be following a single-elimination format where every match will be a best-of-three series.
3rd and 4th placed teams from the group stage will clash in the quarterfinals, the winner moving on to face the 2nd placed team in the semifinals, and finally the winner of that match will face the 1st placed team in the grand final.
Prize Pool
Kinguin Legends CS:GO Tournament will be featuring a total prize pool of €50,000 ($49,989 USD or INR 39,84,700) which will be divided between all the six competing teams on the basis of their final placement.
