This online tournament will be witnessing participation from multiple top European and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) based teams. It shall act as a filler CS:GO tournament ahead of the IEM Cologne 2022 which is all set to take place next month.

Teams

A total of 16 CS:GO teams have been invited to compete in the Roobet Cup which comprises of a group stage followed by playoffs. All participating teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each as follows,

The top two teams from each group will be qualifying ahead to the playoffs, where a total of eight teams will be competing for a chance to be crowned as the champions.

Format

The Roobet Cup comprises of two stages, group stage and playoffs. Here is how both of them will be played out,

  • The group stage of the tournament will witness all the 16 teams being divided into four groups of four teams each. All these groups will be following a double-elimination format with all matches following a BO3 series.

  • The top two teams from all the four groups will advance to the playoffs to compete in the quarterfinals.

  • The eight teams that advance to the playoffs will faceoff in a single-elimination bracket, where every match will be following a BO3 series.
