The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 started with the Challengers Stage which took place from 26th to 29th October, where eight of the 16 competing teams made it through to the next round. The Legends Stage kicks off today onwards scheduled to take place from 30th October to 2nd November, where the qualified teams will be joined by eight more to make it through to the Playoffs. The Champions Stage will be the final hurdle where the top eight teams will play in front of a live audience at the Avicii Arena from 4th to 7th November.

In total CS:GO fans will witness two weeks of top-tier Counter-Strike action as 24 teams from around the world go up against each other for a grand prize of $2,000,000 USD, the largest prize pool ever for a CS:GO Major.

Legends Stage: Qualified (New Challengers) and Legends Teams

Legends Stage: Format (30th October to 2nd November)

  • 16 team Swiss System Format will be followed.

  • Elimination and Qualification matches will feature a BO3 series.

  • All other matches will be a BO1 series.

  • The top eight teams will proceed to the Champions Stage.

  • The bottom eight teams will be eliminated from the Major.

Legends Stage: Standings

The top eight teams will qualify ahead to PGL Major Stockholm 2021: Champions Stage, while the remaining eight teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

Legends Stage: Schedule and Results (Timezone: IST)

The initial matchups or Round-1 of the Legends Stage will take place on 30th October with all the 16 teams playing a BO1 series.

Round 1 - 30th October 2021, Saturday

Round-2 will also be played on 30th October, but the matchups are not yet determined and will be based on the results of the first round. Here, the teams will be further divided into two groups, Winners and Losers.

The PGL Major 2021 will be featuring the highest prize pool ever for a CS:GO Major, a whopping $2,000,000 USD. This amount will be divided between the top 16 teams which means that all the teams facing elimination in the New Challengers Stage will be walking away empty-handed.

The PGL Major 2021 is officially scheduled to broadcast in over 25 languages across different platforms.

Both the Challengers Stage and the Legends Stage will be played in a LAN environment (studio setup) but without a live audience. However, the final phase of the tournament's Champions Stage will be played in front of a live audience at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
