The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is all set to take place from 26th October to 7th November 2021. Esports fans will witness two weeks of top-tier CS:GO action as 24 teams from around the world go up against each other for a grand prize of $2,000,000 USD, the largest prize pool ever for a CS:GO Major tournament.
The participants have been segregated into three groups of eight teams each, based on their standings on the RMR (Regional Major Rankings) leaderboards - Contenders, Challengers, Legends. Similarly, the tournament has been divided into three stages as well - New Challengers Stage, New Legends Stage, New Champions Stage.

New Challengers Stage: Contenders and Challengers Teams
New Challengers Stage: Format (26th to 29th October 2021)
16 team Swiss System Format will be followed.
Elimination and Qualification matches will feature a BO3 series.
All other matches will be a BO1 series.
The top eight teams will proceed to the New Legends Stage.
The bottom eight teams will be eliminated from the Major.
New Challengers Stage: Standings
The top eight teams will qualify ahead to PGL Major Stockholm 2021: New Legends Stage, while the remaining eight teams will be eliminated from the tournament.
New Challengers Stage: Schedule and Results (Timezone: IST)
The initial matchups or Round-1 of the New Challengers Stage will take place on 26th October with all the 16 teams playing a BO1 series.

Round-2 will also be played on 26th October, but the matchups are not yet determined and will be based on the results of the first round. Here, the teams will be further divided into two groups, Winners and Losers.

Round-3 will be played on 27th October, but the matchups have not been determined till now and will be based on the results of the second round. Here, the teams will be divided into three groups - Qualifier, Last Chance, Eliminator.

Round-4 will be played on 28th October, but the matchups have not been determined till now. They will be based on the results of the third round. Here, the teams will be divided into two groups - Qualifier and Eliminator.

Round-5, which is the last round, will be played on 29th October, but the matchups have not been determined till now. They will be based on the results of the fourth round. Here, the remaining teams will play in an Eliminator.

The PGL Major 2021 will be featuring the highest prize pool ever for a CS:GO Major, a whopping $2,000,000 USD. This amount will be divided between the top 16 teams which means that all the teams facing elimination in the New Challengers Stage will be walking away empty-handed.

The PGL Major 2021 is officially scheduled to broadcast in over 25 languages across different platforms.
Both the New Challengers Stage and the New Legends Stage will be played in a LAN environment but without a live audience. However, the final phase of the tournament New Champions Stage will be played in front of a live audience at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
