PGL Major Stockholm 2021 becomes the highest viewed CS:GO tournament of all time as it attains a peak of more than 1.37 million concurrent viewers according to Esports Charts.
The viewership record was achieved during the quarterfinals match between NAVI and Team Vitality.
The Russian stream registered a peak of 532,000 concurrent viewers while the English stream clocked a maximum of 511,000 concurrent viewers.

The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is officially the highest-watched CS:GO tournament ever, clocking in a record-breaking peak of 1,371,918 concurrent viewers yesterday on 5th November 2021. The viewership spike was observed during the quarterfinals match between NAVI and Team Vitality, as the two best CS:GO players in the world Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut faced off against each other.

The tournament which is being broadcasted in multiple languages observed the Russian stream hit a peak of 532,000 concurrent viewers while the English stream registered a maximum of 511,000 concurrent viewers.

With this, PGL Major Stockholm 2021 has overtaken the four year old record set by ELEAGUE Major Atlanta 2017 where a peak of 1,331,781 concurrent viewers had been registered during the grand finals between Virtus.pro and Astralis.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 continues to break CS:GO viewership records

Being the first CS:GO Major in more than two years, the Stockholm Major 2021 was poised to attract a lot of audience. It also marked the return of competitive CS:GO to a proper LAN tournament, with the current Champions Stage being played in front of a live audience at the Avicii Arena.

The viewership attained during the Legends Stage of the Stockholm Major had already overtaken that of the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019. With the first day of the Champions Stage crossing the million mark in peak viewership, many had expected the tournament to do even matter going forward.

Well, standing true to everyone's expectations the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 went on to attain a record-breaking peak of more than 1.37 million concurrent viewers. Thus, becoming the highest viewed CS:GO tournament of all time and yet there is more to come with three more matches still left to be played out, two semifinals followed by the grand finals.

The viewership is most likely to increase even further over the course of the next two days as NAVI, Gambit Esports, G2 Esports, and Heroic still remain in contention for the Major title.
