PGL Antwerp Major 2022: G2, Vitality Go '3-0' to Qualify for Legends Stage
Well, there goes most of the '3-0' Pick'Em predictions.
The first two days of the Challengers Stage have concluded with G2 Esports and Team Vitality advancing as the first two teams to qualify for the Legends Stage by securing the two '3-0' spots.
Both the teams were showing nerves leading up to the PGL Antwerp Major 2022, but they seemed to have locked in mentally and found their rhythm as they went on to win three matches in a row, ruining a lot of Pick'Em predictions in the process.
G2 Esports faced tough matches against Team Spirit and ENCE on its way to the Legends Stage, which included two overtime bouts. Vitality on the other hand had a much better time fighting through the Challengers Stage.
PGL Antwerp Major 2022: G2 Esports and Team Vitality qualify for the Legends Stage
One of the most stacked Challengers Stage ever for a CS:GO Major is currently underway, delivering some top-notch action between some of the best teams from across the globe.
Showing their grit and experience, G2 Esports and Team Vitality have put on quite the show so far. They are the first teams to qualify for the Legends Stage by claiming the two '3-0' spots, performing beyond their expectations in the tournament.
G2 Esports defeated Team Liquid, Team Spirit, and ENCE to make its way through the first stage of the Major. The heavyweight's Spirit and ENCE proved to be quite the challenge for G2, who had to fight through multiple tense situations as every player rose up to the occasion and delivered when called upon.
Team Vitality pushing through was quite uncertain given its inconsistent performances, but the team seems to have put in the work with the players building themselves up as a solid unit. They started off by shaming Complexity with a '16-1' victory and then went on from there to hand defeats to Astralis and forZe without breaking too much of a sweat.
The two '3-0' slots are in the bag with the first two teams coming forth through the Challengers Stage. Six more slots are still available with two more days of competition and 12 teams still remaining in contention as the rest of the teams continue their journey in the PGL Antwerp Major 2022.
