NAVI Considers ElectroNic for IGL Role, Buster Could Be Potential Signing
A heavy set of changes planned for NAVI.
After clearing the air by dismissing all rumors about Natus Vincere (NAVI) not having any interest in signing Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis over from Virtus.pro (VP), information has surfaced that the Ukrainian organization is keeping a close eye on his Kazakh teammate Timur "buster" Tulepov.
Additionally, NAVI is also planning on handing over the responsibility of the CS:GO roster within the server to veteran member Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, preparing its team for the road ahead without Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov.
Despite electroNic having no prior experience as an IGL (In-Game Leader), Alexey "xaoc" Kucherov - COO of NAVI, in a statement to Dexerto has revealed that the team is seriously considering him as a possible shotcaller for the side going ahead.
NAVI CS:GO Update: ElectroNic considered for IGL role, monitoring buster as potential signing
A huge void has been left within the NAVI roster following the departure of Boombl4, forcing the organization to seriously consider electroNic to take the reigns and lead the side going ahead.
Since joining NAVI in November 2017, the 23-year-old star has provided the team with immense firepower, standing up for the side at times when Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev failed to find impact, growing in his shadow to become one of the best riflers in the world.
However, switching to a leadership role means that a lot of his fragging output and rifling potential might be diminished due to the added responsibilities, opening up a role for a talented rifler within the ranks of NAVI.
A potential candidate for this exact role is the Kazakhstani rifler buster, who is currently a part of Virtus.Pro's inactive CS:GO roster. Though the player has been transfer listed, NAVI will not be buying him out of his contract as they refrain from doing any sort of business with the Russian organization, due to the ongoing conflict between the two countries.
This means that the only way for buster to potentially join NAVI is to be released from his contract with VP which is acting as a barrier for his transfer to one of the top teams in the world.
On the other hand, Virtus.pro in a statement to Dexerto has confirmed that there is no possibility of buster being released from his contract because all their CS:GO players have signed long-term contracts, "None of them can leave unless a proper fee is paid."
This certainly makes things complicated for NAVI as paying a transfer fee seems to be the only way for acquiring buster, at this point in time. With electroNic having zero experience under his belt leading a team and uncertainty looming around who the fifth player might be, the road ahead for NAVI looks rough and hard.
The Ukrainian organization still has some time as they will be next seen in action at the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 which is scheduled to take place from 15th to 19th June.
