NAVI and Gambit Esports Attain Legends Status at PGL Major Stockholm 2021
All five CS:GO teams from the CIS region successfully book their slots for the Major.
The IEM Fall 2021: CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) which is currently underway has already reached the playoffs, with the group stage having concluded yesterday following multiple intense tiebreakers. Despite the last RMR (Regional Major Rankings) qualifying event two days away from completion, the five CS:GO teams from the CIS region set to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm 2021 have now been confirmed.
NAVI, Gambit Esports, Team Spirit, Entropiq, and Virtus.pro are the teams that will be representing the CIS region. While the status of two teams is still undetermined, Entropiq has achieved the Contenders status, whereas NAVI and Gambit Esports are set to qualify for the Legends Stage of the CS:GO Major.

The last qualification tournament for the first CS:GO Major in two years is currently underway and all the five teams set to represent the CIS region have already been booked. This makes them the first five CS:GO teams to make it through to the PGL Major Stockholm 2021, alongside the Oceanic representatives Renegades, who is the only CSGO team from that region.
NAVI was the first team to book a slot for themselves at the Major. Thanks to mathematics and worse case scenario prediction, as soon as the groups were seeded for IEM Fall 2021: CIS, NAVI's qualification for the Major had been instantly confirmed. The clean '5-0' performance in the group stage further helped them achieve a Legends status.
Gambit Esports with its '4-1' performance successfully made its way to the playoffs and swept the second Legends status in its favour. Entropiq fought hard and made it to the playoffs to secure itself the Contenders status for the Major.
The two remaining teams, Virtus.pro and Team Spirit will determine their status based on their final position at the qualifying tournament. All eyes shall be upon them to see who shall gain the upper hand between the two At present Virtus.pro leads with 101 more points to its name.
