The PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #1 concludes with Liquid, Complexity, Bad News Bears, and Team oNe making it through to the next stage.
Notable teams that did not make it through to the American RMR are GODSENT, Strife Esports, Party Astronauts, and Evil Geniuses.
Three more slots are up for grabs via the second North American qualifier which is scheduled to take place from 12th to 13th March.

The PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR (Regional Major Rankings) - North American Open Qualifier #1 has concluded with Team Liquid, Complexity Gaming, Bad News Bears (BNB), and Team oNe making it through to the next stage.

The grand final of the qualifier witnessed a clash between two of the best North American teams as Liquid went up against Complexity on Vertigo. It was a tight match as the two teams exchanged rounds and kept it competitive till the very end. Complexity finally managed to close the map with a ‘16-14’ scoreline.

Team oNe was the only Brazilian esports organization that managed to make its way through the qualifier, eliminating their local rivals GODSENT in the quarterfinals following a close-fought series that ended with a ‘2-1’ scoreline.

Four CS:GO teams book their slot for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR

The first of the two North American qualifiers has concluded with the top four teams from the region making their way through to the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR. With this, 13 of the 16 teams competing in the Major qualifier have now been booked, as the remaining three teams will be decided shortly via the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #2.

BNB Qualifies for American RMR

A few notable teams from the region that were not able to qualify in the first attempt are GODSENT, Strife Esports, Party Astronauts, and Evil Geniuses (EG). Out of these teams, the biggest disappointment was EG as it failed to make it past the ‘Round of 32’ after losing ‘14-16’ against Strife Esports, an upcoming team from the region that recently won Fragadelphia 16.

GODSENT comprising of players like Epitácio "TACO" de Melo and João "felps" Vasconcellos was another promising team that failed to qualify, following its defeat against their local rivals Team oNe in the quarterfinals. The BO3 series went down to the decider map on Nuke after both teams secured their map picks, unfortunately, GODSENT failed to deliver a strong performance which resulted in its elimination.

Both Liquid and Complexity look in great shape, but while Liquid struggled in their semifinal match against Team oNe before managing to beat them, Complexity’s run was spotless and clean. The team dispatched its opponents with ease, not dropping a single map as it went on to win the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - North American Open Qualifier #1.

It will be interesting to see how these teams perform at the American RMR 2022 where they will be joined by South American teams also. Only six teams will be qualifying for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 for the LAN tournament which will be taking place in Bucharest, Romania from 11th to 14th April.
