G2 Esports has gone ahead and made its first change of the 2022 season, bidding farewell to one of the longest-standing member of its CS:GO roster, Audric "JACKZ" Jug.
The 30-year-old was allowed to explore other options by the Spanish esports organization weeks in advance. The official announcement breaking earlier today on 10th August, just a week before the upcoming BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022.
JACKZ, after competing with a mixed European lineup on G2, decided to join a completely French roster. The experienced entry fragger will be shaking hands with his former DBL Poney teammates but this time under the banner of a Belgian organization - HEET.
JACKZ joins HEET after competing with G2 Esports for four years
One of the G2 Esports veterans, JACKZ, is on his way out of the roster and will not be competing with the side going ahead. After four years of service, the entry fragger has moved on to play for the French lineup of HEET.
JACKZ will be once again enjoying the company of his former DBL Poney teammates, aside from Lucas "Lucky" Chastang, who was dropped from the active roster to make way for him.
Last year in February after being stranded on G2's bench for about two months, JACKZ took the decision to join a French team, which was devoid of an organization but consisted several other veterans. Hence, the inaugural roster of DBL Poney was formed and he was a founding member.
A month later, JACKZ was recalled to the active roster of G2 Esports. Now, more than a year later he has been reunited with the French lineup, who will now compete under the banner of HEET after being acquired in January earlier this year.
During his time on G2 Esports, JACKZ averaged an overall HLTV rating of 1.0 and played under multiple star-studded lineups. He always managed to stay relevant and made important plays for the side, but with the organization making big changes ahead of this season and failing to lift a single trophy, the rifler was one of the players who came onto the chopping block.
It will be interesting to see how he goes on to play with his new organization HEET, which is currently ranked just outside the top 20 on the global HLTV rankings.
The G2 Esports CS:GO roster now looks as follows:
Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen - Transfer-listed
Rémy "XTQZZZ" Quoniam - Coach
Kenny "kennyS" Schrub - Benched
