G2 Esports Reportedly Allows JACKZ to Explore Other Options in CS:GO
G2 might be opting to undergo a double change.
G2 Esports is contemplating its path ahead in CS:GO rather seriously, opting for multiple changes during the course of the summer player break. Already its current IGL, Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen, has publicly announced that he will not be a part of the Spanish esports organization going ahead.
Now, a report has surfaced claiming that Audric "JACKZ" Jug might also be on his way out of the team, with G2 allegedly having allowed him to explore other options outside the organization.
This means that following the player break, G2 might be sporting a revamped CS:GO roster which will likely not have Aleksib and JACKZ as part of it, according to 1pv.fr.
Report: JACKZ might be on his way out of G2 Esports CS:GO team
The longest-standing member of G2 Esports in the current active roster, JACKZ, might be leaving the team after spending more than three years competing with the organization, initially from 2018 to 2020 and then again from 2021 to 2022.
There was a time in between when JACKZ had been benched for about three months, during which he enjoyed a brief stint competing under the banner of Double Poney, a French CS:GO team without the backing of any organization.
Notably, he is also the last remaining French player on the roster, reminiscent of the time G2 Esports used to field a highly competitive French lineup which then transitioned over to an international team over time.
Although G2 Esports fields a roster that looks like a top contender on paper, with enough firepower to rival the best teams in the scene, the team has miserably failed to capitalize on the potential and has not achieved the desired impact for this season.
The best result obtained by the team, so far, has been a runners-up finish at the IEM Katowice 2022, forcing the organization to reconsider its approach and undergo a few changes to its roster accordingly.
Both Aleksib and JACKZ find themselves on the chopping block but apparently none of them have been benched from the active roster just yet. This leaves the future of G2 Esports uncertain as it will be evaluating potential changes during the player break.
