Imperial Esports Wins Debut CS:GO Match 16-0 to Reach Top 16 in SA RMR

The highly anticipated debut of the Brazilian ‘Last Dance’ occurred yesterday as they went up against a team called ‘Laundo E Amigos’ in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - South American Open Qualifier #1.

It was a sensational first match for the new Imperial Esports lineup, as they kick-started their competitive journey on a high note by handing their opponents an embarrassing ‘16-0’ defeat.

The team concluded the first day of the first open qualifier by fighting their way into the top 16 and are now just a few steps away from qualifying into the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR (Regional Major Rankings), scheduled to take place on LAN at the PGL Studio in Bucharest, Romania.

Though a top-four finish will be enough to propel them into the LAN qualifier, Imperial will be definitely aiming for nothing short of a victory, as they are now just four matches away from achieving it.

The experienced Brazilian lineup, consisting of multiple CS:GO Major winners, are also some of the most successful players from the region and have surpassed community expectations.

Putting forth a formidable performance in their debut match, the new Imperial Esports roster won 16 rounds in a row resulting in quite a magnificent show for their supporters. Unfortunately, in the very next match, they faced some issues due to which they were not able to connect in time, but their opponents decided to wait and requested for Imperial to not be disqualified.

Though Imperial defeated them, the team’s captain Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo was moved by their gesture to wait for them beyond the specified time and promised to gift them five Imperial Esports team jerseys.

Imperial ended the day by defeating a team called Beneath Gaming with a ‘16-7’ scoreline on Nuke in the ‘Round of 32’, to reach the top 16. The team is now just four matches away from winning the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR - South American Open Qualifier #1.

Later tonight, Imperial Esports will resume their journey through the open qualifiers going up against Totale Pro. So far the Brazilian community has been enjoying their performances with more than 200,000 viewers tuning in across various streams to show their support.

It will be interesting to see how far Imperial goes in these qualifiers. Do they actually end up winning it, do they attain a top-four finish to qualify for the LAN qualifiers, or does all the hype come crashing down?
