A lot of shuffles seem to be taking place ahead of the IEM Cologne 2022. One of the latest teams to complete its CS:GO roster is HEROIC as they announce the singing of its fifth player, Jakob "Jabbi" Nygaard, who comes in as a replacement for the recently benched Ismail "refrezh" Ali.
The 18-year-old talented rifler will be providing HEROIC with a burst of firepower which has been missing for quite some time. Jabbi is making his way over from Copenhagen Flames (CPHF) with whom he has spent close to two years, honing his skills and gaining the much needed experience before making the jump.

The CS:GO community was not too surprised when HEROIC decided to bench, refrezh. Despite being an overall great addition to the team, refrezh was not too effective in his role as a rifler having achieved an overall HLTV rating of 1.01 this year along with an impact rating of 0.91.
A change was in order if HEROIC wanted to win bigger tournaments than the Pinnacle Cup Championship. It was a tough call considering that refrezh had been with the team for around 16 months, "a huge contributor to the atmosphere and social side of the team," as per a statement by the organization.
To add more firepower the young Danish rifler, Jabbi, has been signed by HEROIC who believe that the team is capable of achieving great things, "but has struggled to take that final step," hence a decision was taken to try something new.
Jabbi has joined the Danish lineup straight from CPHF's bench where he he grew into a fine player. He has already competed in two CS:GO Majors at the age of 18.
“I am delighted to join Heroic. It is a huge opportunity for me to become a part of this team. It is a team that plays exciting CS while consistently being in the top five," says Jabbi in a statement to Heroic, "I am looking forward to proving myself and showing that I can help take Heroic even further."
Oliver Valsgaard - Head of Esports Operations for HEROIC, believes that Jabbi is the missing piece that will allow them to consistently compete for trophies, "at Heroic we are willing to risk something very good at the chance to become the very best."
The new HEROIC lineup will be seen in action for the first time at the upcoming IEM Cologne 2022. The team has a few weeks time to practice as a unit, it will be interesting to see what they have to offer at 'The Cathedral of Counter-Strike'.
