Highlights
Heroic and BIG are the first two CS:GO teams from the European RMR A to qualify for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022.
While BIG has gone undefeated through the LAN qualifier, Heroic dropped just one map against NAVI on its way to the Antwerp Major.
Both the teams have attained a 'Legend Status' spot at the Major as six more slots still remain to be filled, two legend and four challenger slots.

The second day of the ongoing European RMR (Regional Major Rankings) A has concluded with Heroic and BIG qualifying through to the PGL Major Antwerp 2022. Both teams have managed to attain two out of the four available 'Legends Status' spots and will be starting their journey through the 'New Legends Stage'.

While BIG went undefeated through the European RMR A, Heroic ended up dropping one map to its final competitor NAVI, despite this Heroic is currently standing on top of the overall leaderboard.

As two teams took a step forward, two were also eliminated from the LAN qualifier. Both Team QUAZAR and Team GamerLegion were sent home packing following defeats by Team Unique and Dignitas, who march forward to play another set of elimination matches.

The European RMR A has witnessed the qualification of the first two teams through to the Antwerp Major. Heroic was the first team to qualify after handing a tough '2-1' defeat to NAVI, as the match went down to a decider on Nuke before going in favor of the Danes. BIG followed right behind causing an upset by handing a clean '2-0' defeat to FaZe Clan and obtaining the coveted 'Legends Status' slot.

Both the teams are right at the top of the current leaderboard and are likely walking away with the combined prize money of $71,250 USD (INR 54,35,876) with Heroic securing $47,500 followed by BIG earning $23,750.

Now, two more 'New Legend Stage' spots are up for grab with six teams in contention for them. The three '2-1' bracket matchups which will determine the next three teams qualifying for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 are as follows,

  • SAW vs forZe | 14:30 IST, 19th April

  • NAVI vs Vitality | 18:15 IST, 19th April

  • FaZe vs MOUZ | 22:00 IST, 19th April

Out of the three winners, the highest-rated team as per the Buchholz Score will be directly attaining a legend status, while the remaining two teams will be competing in a tie breaker for the last remaining legend spot. The third remaining team will also qualify but will be starting from the new challengers stage.

With a total of eights teams set to qualify through the European RMR A and only two slots being filled so far. The qualifier is still very much alive and the remaining teams will need to fight hard in order to make it through.
