Galatasaray Espor Reportedly Approaches Turkish CS:GO Super Team
The Turkish CS:GO super team seems to have an offer on their hands.
The Turkish CS:GO super team which is reportedly in the works consisting of star players Ismailсan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş and Özgür "woxic" Eker, seems to have an offer in their hands. According to a report by Esporkolik, Turkish football club Galatasaray S.K.'s esports division Galatasaray Espor made an offer to the Turkish lineup. No official statement has been released by any of the parties involved. However, there seems to be a change in the Turkish super team, as an earlier reported member does not seem to be associated with this project any longer.
Turkish CS:GO super team might be in talks with an organization
There has been a lot of buzz about an upcoming Turkish CS:GO super team, something that was initially teased by woxic in June when he had announced his return to the competitive scene once again.
The news picked up momentum once again when XANTARES stepped down from BIG's active CS:GO roster right after IEM Cologne 2021, as reported earlier. The speculations about a Turkish super team coming together was now stronger than ever before.
The initial speculated lineup consisted of the following players,
Özgür "woxic" Eker - AWPer
Ismailсan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş - IGL
Ömer "imoRR" Karataş - Rifler / Entry Fragger
Buğra "Calyx" Arkın - Rifler / Support
Ahmet "paz" Karahoca - Rifler / Support
However, a new report by Esporkolik points out a change in this earlier proposed lineup. It seems paz is likely not set to be a part of this lineup and instead the 18-year-old Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç will be the one replacing him.
The young rifler might not be too experienced but he sure has the talent as he currently plays as a stand-in for Robin "flusha" Rönnquist's CS:GO team GORILLAZ.
This upcoming Turkish super team seems to have attracted an offer from Galatasaray Espor, which is the esports division of a professional football club called Galatasaray Sports Club based on the European side of the city of Istanbul, Turkey.
Galatasaray Espor already operates multiple lines in esports titles like League of Legends (LoL), FIFA, PES, PUBG Mobile, and more. If this partnership actually turns into something it might be their entry into competitive CS:GO for the first time ever.
For now no official statement has been released and it will be interesting to see he this situation develops.
