As per reports, HooXi might be the final piece to complete the CS:GO roster revamp for G2 Esports.
There is still a bit of contradiction whether HooXi is joining G2 Esports temporarily or is he a permanent player for the team.
HooXi is currently a part of CPHF's inactive roster and has been away from the game for almost two months now.

G2 Esports seems to have gotten it new revamped CS:GO lineup in place ahead of the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 which is scheduled to take place from 19th to 28th August. Following the departure of Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen and Audric "JACKZ" Jug, Dexerto and have linked the former Copenhagen Flames (CPHF) captain, Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, to a move to G2 Esports.

While HooXi has allegedly been signed as a replacement for Aleksib, the Spanish esports organization seems to have also targeted Justin "jks" Savage as its new rifler, supposedly lifting the bench curse from him.

Report: G2 Esports permanently signs HooXi to CS:GO roster

With a few weeks still left to go for the CS:GO summer player break to end, G2 Esports seems to have reportedly revamped its roster ahead of BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 which is right around the corner.

While Dexerto claims that HooXi is being signed temporarily as a stand-in for the upcoming tournament, so that G2 can test the waters with him before taking things further, while has reported that the player has been signed as a permanent member of the lineup.

He is supposedly being joined by jks who might move from Complexity Gaming to G2 Esports, returning to competitive CS:GO as a permanent player after more than nine months if the transfer goes through.

HooXi is currently not an active player for any team or organization and has been sitting on the bench of CPHF for more than two months now. It was under his guidance that the underdog lineup of CPHF was able to achieve so much success in the last couple of years.

This season, CPHF went on to reach the quarterfinals of the PGL Antwerp Major 2022 (5th-8th), attracting a lot of attention as they improved upon their performance big time when compared to the PGL Stockholm Major 2021.

While Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi and Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen had quickly transferred over to Fnatic, followed by Jakob "Jabbi" Nygaard being signed by Heroic, it only leaves Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss as the two players remaining on CPHF's bench.

If the reports hold true, G2's revamped CS:GO roster will be as follows,

  • Nikola "NiKo" Kovač

  • Nemanja "huNter" Kovač

  • Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov

  • Justin "jks" Savage

  • Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen - [IGL]

  • Rémy "XTQZZZ” Quoniam - [Coach]
