Fnatic Signs RoeJ and Nicoodoz From CPHF to Begin CS:GO Overhaul
The Fnatic CS:GO team is finally taking shape.
The changes have finally started to take place for Fnatic, whose CS:GO roster had shriveled down to just two members. Now, the organization has gone ahead and signed the Danish duo of Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjid and Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen, from Copenhagen Flames (CPHF).
Two weeks after benching Alexander "ALEX" McMeekin and Valentin "poison" Vasilev, Fnatic has kick started its CS:GO overhaul, now just one player away from completing its roster.
According to a statement by Fnatic, both nicoodoz and roeJ have signed multi-year contracts with the organization, while the search for the fifth and final player is still underway.
Fnatic begins CS:GO overhaul with the signing of Danish duo nicoodoz and roeJ
It has been a tough year for Fnatic's CS:GO team this year as the team failed to qualify for multiple top-tier tournaments like PGL Antwerp Major 2022, IEM Dallas 2022, and BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022. Despite undergoing a plethora of changes, not a single iteration of its CS:GO roster was able to achieve any significant results or show any signs of growth.
So after the recent set of changes that took place last month, Fnatic decided to take a breather to collect themselves. The organization has finally decided to go ahead with nicoodoz and roeJ as its first two signings, both of them having achieved brilliant results along with CPHF.
Nicoodoz will be handling the AWP for the side, he may not be counted amongst the best players for this role, but it does not take away from the fact that he is a promising player talent who has been able to achieve success with a solid roster around himself.
"I'm confident this is the perfect place for me as a player to continue developing and achieving my new goals together with Fnatic. I want to be the best and so does Fnatic," said Nicoodoz, "I have been given a huge opportunity and i will make sure to work extremely hard to show my gratitude!"
On the other hand, RoeJ brings some serious firepower along with him as an entry fragger for the side. For him, age is just a number that shows the amount of experience he packs behind each frag he secures for the side.
"I'm super thrilled to finally say that I have joined Fnatic and I can't wait to get to work with the guys here. I think the dynamics of personality and playstyle together with Fnatic as an organization, will work out amazing," says roeJ, "There is going to be some new challenges and a lot of work ahead and I'm going to give everything I can to bring Fnatic and myself as a player to the heights of competitive CSGO."
Fnatic is still trying out players for the final piece of the puzzle, which will round out the new CS:GO roster for the organization. Signing a multi-year deal with the two Danish players means that the level of confidence and trust in them to turn things around for the side is immense and that they are not going anywhere anytime soon.
It will be interesting to see who the last player joining the side turns out to be and how Fnatic shall perform from here on out in the second half of the 2022 competitive season.
