Out of the 24 teams participating 12 of them are using their registered coach as the substitute player, while the other half has included names of a proper sixth player.

The last minute addition of a sixth player has been implemented by teams due to a rule specified within the PGL tournament rulebook that read as follows,

Players, coaches, and managers that show symptoms of COVID-19 and show positive test results may not be able to continue playing in the tournament and may be disqualified.

Despite teams expressing a growing concern against this specific rule, PGL remains committed to it for the safety of the tournament and everyone involved.
