FalleN Talks About Current and Future Goals With Imperial CS:GO Roster
The two-time Major winner has a clear objective in his mind for the entire team.
What started as speculation last year, finally turned into reality a few months back as the 'Brazilian Last Dance' officially came together under the Imperial Esports banner to kick start its journey. So far the lineup has performed well, qualifying for the ongoing PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, while also attaining top finishes at multiple local Brazilian CS:GO tournaments.
Following the brilliant first day performance at the American RMR, the team's captain Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo in an interview with Dust2.us said "Our goal is definitely to qualify for the Major. If we can take the '3-0' spot it will be the dream scenario but if we manage to go '3-2' or '3-1', it is already a big accomplishment."
He not only spoke about what the team wanted to achieve in Antwerp, but even gave insight into the team's future plans, "The goal is to be playing the Brazilian Major."
FalleN talks about Imperial's current and future goals in competitive CS:GO
Imperial Esports is surely turning a lot of eyeballs with its stellar performances. Not many in the CS:GO community expected them to do so well, but the team has delivered consistently by standing second at the FiReLEAGUE Latin Power Spring 2022, followed by a win at the OMEN WGR European Challenge 2022.
Yes, the team failed to qualify for the BLAST Premier: Spring American Showdown 2022, but at the same time they made it to the PGL Major Antwerp 2022: American RMR, where they have gone on to win both their opening matches.
Imperial is now just one win away from securing themselves a slot in the PGL Major Antwerp 2022, as they take on MIBR to potentially go '3-0' through the swiss format qualifiers.
Talking about what he aims to achieve with the team at the Antwerp Major, FalleN responded by saying that their goal is to qualify ahead for sure and it does not matter if they go '3-0', '3-1', or '3-2' as long as they make it through.
"The legend spot will be brilliant for sure," FalleN adds, but even playing in the Major itself is a big accomplishment, "We just created the team and our focus is definitely on getting to the level where we can play at the Brazilian Major. This is the first step to getting there and it would be great to achieve something already."
While this might be the team's focus up until May end, the final goal for FalleN and team mates is to compete at the Brazilian Major. Keeping this in mind, the two-time Major winner has planned for the project to go on for at least two years.
"We're planning to play for at least two years, that is the goal. Like I said, in the last answer, the goal is to be playing Brazilian Major, that's the biggest goal for the team," said FalleN.
For now, there is no official news yet for the Brazilian Major, but one thing which is certain is that Imperial Esports is showcasing one hell of a form and it might just be possible that the team could earn the 'Legends Status' spot for themselves.
