Evil Geniuses CEO Teases Potential New CS:GO Roster for 2022 Season
EG is making some serious moves!
The North American CS:GO scene is picking up steam as we head closer to the start of the 2022 competitive circuit. To make things spicier, CEO of Evil Geniuses - Nicole LaPointe Jameson, earlier today on 12th January teased a potential CS:GO roster that may represent the esports organization this year.
Through a series of not so very cryptic tweets, Jameson pointed out names of all the five potential candidates that EG might sign for the upcoming season. This information should be taken with a grain of salt as it is not an official announcement, however, Jameson did mention that EG is here to save North American Counter-Strike and that official news about their CS:GO team would start rolling out next week onwards.
EG CEO teases potential CS:GO roster for the 2022 competitive season
EG was one of the first CS:GO teams to start implementing changes following a disastrous run through 2021. By the end of the competitive season, EG had clearly run out of fuel as they announced the departure of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, Owen "oBo" Schlatter, and Michał "MICHU" Müller.
After more than a month of silence, EG finally made its first move in late December by signing Damien "maLeK" Marcel as their head coach. At that point in time, EG had teased that their next player signings would include two riflers and a shot caller.
Now a couple of weeks later, EG is yet to make a move. However, some reports about their player signings have changed since then like Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip shifting from North America to Europe, Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså no longer being associated with a move to EG, and William "RUSH" Wierzba being speculated as an incoming prospect.
Amidst all this chaos, Jameson has come forward to tease the following lineup via a Twitter thread which has now gone viral across the Counter-Strike community.
William "RUSH" Wierzba
Timothy "autimatic" Ta
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte (Confirmed)
Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov (Confirmed)
Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip
This is not an official announcement, but many in the community are still hoping that this lineup comes out to be true one way or another. Jameson further commented that starting next week everyone would get to know about the team and why they joined EG.
After such a huge buildup, it will be interesting to see if the actual CS:GO roster announcement can live up to all this hype or not.
