The CS:GO marathon has begun!
The ESL Pro League Season 18 has commenced with some of the best CS:GO teams from around the world ready to rise up to the challenge and go up against each other.
This season is scheduled to take place from 30th August to 1st October and will be featuring a total prize pool of $850,000 USD (INR 6,64,31,348) with 32 teams competing to become the champions.
The tournament is taking place on LAN in the seaside town of Saint Julian's in Malta, at the InterContinental Malta Hotel.

The premier month-long CS:GO league is back with its eighteenth season, featuring 32 teams that are ready to take on each other in an offline environment while enjoying the touristy beaches of St. Julian's in Malta.

Out of the 32 participating teams, 15 teams are permanent league partners while the remaining 17 teams have qualified either on the basis of ESL World Ranking or through a regional qualifying tournament.

The tournament has been divided into two stages, Group Stage and Playoffs.
Group Stage: 30th August to 24th September

ESL Pro League Season 18: Format
Group Stage
A total of 32 teams will be participating in this stage of the tournament.
All teams will be divided into four groups of eight teams each.
Each group will follow a triple-elimination format, where every match is a best-of-three series.
The top four teams from each group will qualify for the Playoffs.
The winner will directly advance to the Quarterfinals.
The runner-up will directly advance to the Round of 12.
The third and fourth-placed teams will advance to the Round of 16.

The tournament will be broadcasted live primarily across Twitch and YouTube in eight different languages across two simultaneous streams for the most part.

The marathon league is going to test all participating teams to their very limit as they engage in skirmishes with multiple opponents, fighting to lock a spot for themselves in the Playoffs.
