The current iteration of the tournament, IESF WEC 2023, has CS:GO as one of the six esports titles alongside Dota 2, MLBB, Tekken 7, E-Football, and PUBG Mobile.

CS:GO IESF WEC 2023 is scheduled to take place from 26th August to 3rd September, featuring a total prize pool of $100,000 USD (INR 82,78,185) which will be split only between the top three teams.

24 of the best countries from around the world have qualified for this international esports tournament with their respective CS:GO teams. They have all assembled in Iași, Romania where this event is taking place at the Palace of Culture.

The CS:GO IESF WEC 2023 tournament is scheduled to take place from 26th August to 3rd September, split into two main stages - Group Stage and Playoffs, both following a slightly different format.

The 24 countries were divided into four groups of six teams each with the top three countries from each group qualifying ahead.

CS:GO IESF WEC 2023: Format

Group Stage

  • The 24 qualified teams have been divided into four groups of six teams each.

  • Each group will follow a round-robin format where every match will be a best-of-one series.

  • The top three teams from each group will qualify to the Playoffs.

Playoffs

  • A total of 12 teams will qualify, the winner of each group directly qualifying for quarterfinals while the remaining teams proceed to the round of eight.

  • It will follow a single-elimination bracket where every match will be a best-of-three series.

The total prize pool of $100,000 USD will be split between the top three teams as follows,

  • 1st - $50,000 - TBD

  • 2nd - $30,000 - TBD

  • 3rd - $20,000 - TBD
