Astralis' Sports Director, Kasper Hvidt has confirmed that the organization is not looking for a new CS:GO AWPer.
Hvidt even said that the current Astralis active CS:GO lineup will remain unchanged going into the 2022 competitive season.
Hvidt tried to explain the current situation regarding the role and weapon swap between the players like Lucky and gla1ve.

Astralis with its revamped CS:GO roster has definitely shown promise. However, the fans are not happy to see a strange change in roles with Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander playing on the AWP instead of Philip "Lucky" Ewald.

While the new Astralis member, Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, did try to explain the reason behind this move, a better explanation was provided by Kasper Hvidt - Director of Sports, Astralis Group.

Hvidt in a very direct statement dismissed the notion of Astralis looking to sign another dedicated AWPer for their CS:GO roster by clearly stating that "The five players we have are the five players that we going into 2022," during an interview with Pley at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2021.

Astralis is not looking to sign another dedicated AWPer for their CS:GO team

Astralis' Sports Director, Kasper Hvidt, has clearly said that their current CS:GO roster is not changing anytime soon. The five players who are part of its active lineup right now will be the ones going into the 2022 competitive season as well.

When asked if Astralis is scouting another dedicated AWPer to replace Lucky as he has not been wielding the sniper rifle within the server, Hvidt gave a firm response stating that,

No, the five players we have are the five players that we going into 2022. We have thought about the best option for Astralis and we strongly believe that the five guys we have at the moment are the best players we can have, and that is the Astralis team.

Hvidt further explained that the current role changes of Lucky playing as a site anchor with rifles and gla1ve holding angles with the AWP, is part of a tactical rewiring phase that the team is currently going through.

The funny thing about this situation we are in at the moment, with two player changes along with the coach, (it) gives us opportunities to actually consider which are the tactical tools we want to use for the future. The change happened two months earlier than expected, that gives us two bonus months in order to find out how do we find out the perfect tactics for the team on each match.

This was the primary reason behind gla1ve and at times even k0nfig picking up the AWP, while Lucky tries his hands with the rifles in a completely different role.

Astralis has qualified for BLAST Premier: World Final 2021

Hvidt adds that Astralis did not have this freedom in the past as everything was fixed, but this is just a process for the new roster to try and figure how can they play the best way possible as a unit.
