The BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022 has concluded after more than a week of top-tier CS:GO action between the 12 partner teams. This tournament was a testing ground for many teams as they stepped out with a new roster having undergone changes during the summer player break.

Following the culmination of all three stages of this tournament, the top six teams have managed to qualify for the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022, while the remaining six teams receive another chance by making it through to the BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2022.

The first CS:GO tournament of the second half of the season has come to an end, giving everyone a good idea of how each team is performing especially those that have entered the ring with some changes to their lineup.

Six teams that have qualified for BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022 are:

  1. OG

  2. NAVI

  3. Team Liquid

  4. FaZe Clan

  5. G2 Esports

  6. NIP (Ninjas in Pyjamas)

The top three teams were the first ones to qualify by winning their respective final matches of the gauntlet stage against Astralis, Vitality, and Heroic respectively.

The bottom three teams had to fight their way through the last chance stage as they went up against Astralis, Vitality, and Heroic respectively.

OG

Entering the tournament with a new AWPer, Abdulkhalik "degster" Gasanov, this international roster showcased refined gameplay that was proactive and more aggressive in nature than before.

The team did start the journey by losing both their matches in the group stage, but went on to win three consecutive matches in the gauntlet stage to qualify for Fall Finals.

NAVI

After a surprising loss to Complexity Gaming in its opening bout, NAVI got its game face on to win five maps in a row and move on to the next stage of this tournament.

This involved three matches in the group stage as it topped 'Group-B' and claimed a direct slot in the finals of the gauntlet stage, where it handed a clean '2-0' defeat to Vitality and secured a slot in the Fall Finals.

Team Liquid

Unable to secure Mareks "YEKINDAR" Gaļinskis as its fifth permanent player till now, Liquid continues to compete with him as a temporary part of the team and it is working wonders for the North American organization.

After obtaining a 5th-6th position at IEM Cologne 2022, Liquid has gone on to attain a top three spot at the Fall Groups, dropping just one map against NAVI and winning the remaining six to qualify for the Fall Finals.

FaZe Clan

The Antwerp Major Champions were not in top shape after the break as the team managed to drag itself across the finish line after defeating Astralis in a close fought do-or-die series.

FaZe lost the finals of the group stage against Heroic, followed by another loss against OG in the quarterfinals of the gauntlet stage, resulting in its last chance match against Astralis which it managed to close out thanks to this brilliant AWP ace by Broky.

G2 Esports

G2 walked into the second half of the competitive circuit with a huge overall as Justin "jks" Savage and Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen joined the team.

The team crashed out of the group stage before somehow managing to reach the quarterfinals of the gauntlet stage where Vitality knocked it down to the last chance stage.

Once again a revenge match was set between the two teams, but this time G2 prevailed, victorious with a '2-1' scoreline, and qualified to the Fall Finals.

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP)

NIP had a great start to the tournament but lost its way somewhere in the middle falling down to the last chance stage after facing three consecutive defeats. However, it won the match that mattered and took down Heroic with a '2-1' scoreline to secure itself a slot in the Fall Finals.

The remaining six teams - Astralis, Vitality, Heroic, Complexity, BIG, EG, have made it through to the Fall Showdown, which grants them another chance of making it through to the Fall Finals in October later this year.
