  • Na'Vi are off to a flying start in 2021 as they win both BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 and BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2021.
  • After starting the 2021 season with a loss against Team Liquid, Na'Vi has now won 8 best-of-three series in a row.
  • Na'Vi will be seen in action next at IEM Katowice 2021 where they will be facing stiff competition once again to defend their title.

Na’Vi is currently on an 8 match win-streak. They haven’t dropped a series this year since their opening-match loss against Team Liquid at BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020, which took place in Jan earlier this year. Natus Vincere’s CS:GO roster is looking fierce, starting their 2021 strong with 2 BLAST Premier trophies already on their shelves. The CIS team led by their star AWPer Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev followed up on their BLAST Premier: Global Final victory with a flawless run through the BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021. Na’Vi is HLTV’s current number two team in the world, but they are the best performing team so far in 2021.

Na'Vi wins two BLAST Premier tournaments in a row

The BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 was held on 19 Jan 2021. Na’Vi was among the 8  world-class teams that earned their spot in this tournament after elite performances in multiple BLAST events throughout 2020. Na’Vi started the 2021 competitive circuit with a loss against Team Liquid which saw them drop down to the lower bracket, little did they know that it was about to turn into the starting point of their 8 match win streak for the Ukrainian organization.

In the lower bracket, Na’Vi eliminated Complexity and G2 Esports while also taking their revenge by defeating Team Liquid in their second faceoff. The lower bracket finals was an interesting fight between Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and s1mple. Unfortunately for Vitality, Na’Vi proved to be a lot better than them on the day.

Na’Vi and Astralis duked it out in the Grand finals but once again the CIS side led by s1mple proved to be too much for the Danish giants. Na’Vi won their 5th game in a row and with it were also crowned as the champions of BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020.

They followed their successful win streak with a flawless run in 'Group C' of BLAST Spring Groups 2021. The only time they came close to a loss in this tournament was against FaZe Clan when their new star player Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken led his team to an overtime duel on the final map Train in the Upper Bracket Finals. With this, Na’Vi is the only team in HLTV’s top 3 to win their group during BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021.

Na'Vi on a dominating 8 match win streak

Na'Vi who is currently one of the top-three teams in the world have started 2021 on a winnings high, claiming victory in two consecutive CS:GO tournaments. They might not be ranked number one at the moment, but they are surely showing signs of it.

After a shaky start to the year which saw them lose their first competitive CS:GO match of 2021 against Liquid, Na'Vi has now won eight best-of-three series in a row beating all the top-teams in the world, some even twice. It all started with a cinderella lower bracket run at the BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 where they beat Astralis in the finals, followed by another magnificent unbeaten run in the recently concluded Spring Groups 2021.

The best thing is that despite s1mple still being the ace player for Na'Vi, other players have upped their game to support him better as well. Especially their newest recruit Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutskiy who has time and again helped Na'Vi out of a sticky situation.

IEM Katowice 2021 is the next tournament where we will see Na'Vi in action again as they are one of the directly invited teams and also the defending champions. Will two IEM Katowice tournament wins seal the deal that Na'Vi have finally become the best CS:GO team in the world once again?
