HECZ Opens Up About The Forsaken Cheating Incident

On October 2018 forsaken was caught cheating during OpTic India’s match against FrostFire at the ZOWIE eXTREMESLAND 2018 which was taking place in Shanghai. This resulted in OpTic India getting disqualified from the tournament followed by the organization disbanding the entire CS:GO roster.

Almost two years after the incident former OpTic Gaming CEO HECZ finally decided to open up about how he felt about all of it in a recent episode of his podcast series ‘Eavesdrop’ in which he said that forsaken was fortunate that he got an opportunity to put on the OpTic jersey. He went on to describe their efforts to scout talent in India “shitshow” while straight up saying that forsaken is very lucky that he was not there in person when all this went down.

“I’ll tell you what, that was a missed opportunity because we had an opportunity to truly create an awesome show. You know, ‘America’s Got Talent’ but for Call of Duty esports to simplify it.”

The forsaken cheating scandal was the focal point of all the CS:GO discussions and memes at the time it occurred. Further investigation into the matter revealed that forsaken had cheated during ESL India Premiership 2018 Fall Finals as well, for which he was handed a five-year ban by ESIC (Esports Integrity Commission).
