One of the best AWPers in the world Kenny “kennyS” Schrub is not pleased with the recent change made to the AWP which sees a drop in acceleration after a shot is fired from the AWP.

The 24-year-old who is known for his aggressive AWPing and changed the way the $4,750 weapon was used, tweeted his opinion saying that “After trying that new update, I don’t like it.” He was upset by the fact that the developers just wanted to make the weapon slower every time while pointing out that “crouching movement was a pretty usual thing to do for an AWPer, definitely a big change.”

Haci a known online CS:GO personality joked about the developers watching a game of kennyS from 2014-15 and “instantly decided to nerf it” to which the pro replied that “I heard (the) next step is to remove the scope."

While this might be just a joke right now, the downgrade trend that has hit the AWP it might not be a surprise if the scope undergoes some kind of a tweak as well in the future.

The change was introduced recently masked along with the patch update that introduced various visual changes along with customization options. Though it might not sound like a big enough change, its impact is going to be immense, affecting most if not all AWPers.
