Fnatic has finally parted ways with Richard “Xizt” Landstrom who had been on the team’s bench for almost five months with immediate effect. The Swedish rifler who has also functioned as the teams IGL in the past was cut from the active lineup on 21st August 2019.

Since being benched the 28-year-old veteran has been linked to the rumoured Dignitas CS:GO roster which is speculated to be announced soon. He along with Adam “friberg” Friberg, Patrick “f0rest” Lindberg, and Hakon “hallzerk” Fjaerli was initially named to be the part of the upcoming roster, which later added the name of Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund to complete the rumoured lineup.

This was Xizt’s second outing with the Swedish organization, having had played with them back in 2010 during the 1.6 era. He later moved on to play with NiP, with whom he went on to claim the legendary “87-0” win streak, returning back to Fantic in 2018.

He is a truly wonderful player, that has experienced both sides of the same coin. He is a great IGL and can carry his weight around with the rifle as well. He will supposedly be making a return to Counter-Strike soon enough, playing with four of his old teammates under the banner of Dignitas.

Let’s see how soon before he steps back into the competitive circuit and how well does this new Dignitas lineup do against the horde of these young, talented teams.
