One of the most awaited announcements of 2019 has finally been made, as OG CS:GO have announced its counter-strike line-up, and the roster is exactly similar to the speculated lineup.

The OG CS:GO lineup is as follows,

  • Nathan "NBK" Schmitt

  • Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen

  • Valdemar "Valde" Bjørn Vangsa

  • Issa "ISSAA" Murad

  • Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski

In a blog by the organization, they have gone on to state that,

“CS:GO represents everything we cherish about esports: it is spectacular and amazing to watch, the level of competition is unbelievable and increases every season, the depths of the game mechanics and tactics is unlimited, and most importantly its community and ecosystem has promised CS:GO to the brightest future.”

They conclude the message by saying that,

“With our experience and methods, we are impatient to witness their growth as individuals, but most importantly as a team.

They are already great champions to us, and we will help them lift the trophies that they deserve.

To our fans, we want to thank you for your support, and hope that you will show the same amount of love to the new members of the OG family, through highs and lows.

It is now time for hard-work and competition, the rest will be history.”

The organization that has dominated Dota 2 by winning back-to-back TI championships and with four major titles under their belt have assembled a pretty strong lineup. On paper, the team looks really good, but the trial by fire will witness how strong the team really is.

Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen has finally found a new home, after an absence of more than three months, it will be exciting to see how well can he lead the boys. It is still unknown when the European mix will be seen in action, but hopes are high from this lineup, let’s see if they can stand up to all this hype or not.
