CS:GO Asia Championship 2019 prizepool increased to $500,000; NRG Esports accepts direct invite

Perfect World took to Twitter today to announce an increase in the prize pool of their upcoming tournament CS:GO Asia Championship 2019. The prize pool has seen an increase of $200,000 USD and takes the total prize up to $500,000 USD.
The event which is scheduled to take place from 21st-24th November will be held in Shanghai. The returning event is en route to hosting its second tournament following the success of last years iteration, where Na’Vi stood as the champions, taking home a cash prize of $150,000 USD.
Similar to last year, top international teams are being invited for the event with one slot left for a local Chinese team which will be making its way to the main event through the Chinese Qualifier.

After announcing the first three teams, ENCE, MIBR & Tyloo. The organizers have gone ahead and announced NRG Esports as the next team making its way to Shanghai for possibly Asia’s biggest Counter-Strike event this year.
This event if made an annual affair will have a great positive effect on the region. With the event having the second-largest prize pool amongst all the other events taking place in the last quarter of the year, it will surely be an event that will turn a lot of eyeballs towards it.
With three more direct invite slots left to be filled, let’s see which teams make their way to Shanghai to compete for the massive prize pool.
