Wild Rift Americas Account Transfer Feature

When the mobile MOBA game was first released for selected regions last year, a lot of people got in the beta testing phase through the use of VPNs. When the game finally launched in the North and South America Region, the devs added a new feature that will allow players in that region to migrate their accounts to the Wild Rift Americas Server. Migrating their accounts will ensure they get a stable ping and will no longer have to use a VPN to play the game.

Riot Games have recently revealed that the account transfer feature will be removed soon. This means that players will no longer be able to migrate their accounts to the Wild Rift Americas server.

The official date of when the account transfer feature for Wild Rift Americas will be removed is yet to be announced.

Chinese players might also get this feature once the alpha testing phase of Wild Rift China is over, allowing them to migrate their accounts from SEA to the China server. This may also be true for Indian players when the game gets released in their region.

How to Migrate Account to Wild Rift Americas Server

To migrate your account to the Americas Server, players can simply open Wild Rift without the use of a VPN and allow the game to detect your actual region. The game will give players a notification, prompting them to migrate their accounts.

Keep in mind that migrating your account will revert your progress back to level one. However, all the Wild Cores, cosmetics, and skins purchased will be refunded.

Why do Wild Rift Players Migrate Their Wild Rift Account

Wild Rift didn’t launch simultaneously globally. Some regions got access to the game well before some other regions. The Americas was one of the last regions to get access to the game. So players who were keen on playing before the game launched in the Americas made accounts in other regions using VPNs and the like. However, after the game launched in the Americas, they still couldn’t play the game in their home region since Wild Rift doesn’t support cross-regional play. So they have to migrate their accounts to the Americas region to play the game here and improve their ping in-game and prevent latency issues.

Players who migrate their account to the Wild Rift Americas Server will not have to worry about their account going back to level 1. The server will offer a ton of new events to help them speed up their progress in the game, allowing them to unlock champions fast.
