PUBG: New State Closed Alpha Announced

PUBG: New State was revealed by Krafton in February earlier this year. As per reports, this version of the game is a futuristic take on the classic PUBG Mobile and is set in the year 2051. This game might feature some new gadgets and a brand new map, while already having drones and modern vehicles in it as seen in the released gameplay footage.

Though since then no news about the PUBG: New State’s release has made headlines, the developers have come forward to say that it will come out later in 2021. This is great news for the USA based players but does not spell any excitement for Asian countries like China, Vietnam, and India, which have been excluded from the game’s global release.

Despite the lack of involvement from Chinese companies like Tencent, PUBG New State will not immediately launch in India. Krafton revealed this via an official press release which stated that the game is being developed by “PUBG Studio, the creators of the original battle royale, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS.” The reason for India's exclusion from launch is currently unknown, but this does not necessarily rule out a future release of the game in the country.

Later it was revealed by Gemwire that PUBG New State’s official website has code that hides a Hindi version of the site. The hidden Hindi version of the website contains a fully translated version of the announcement, the privacy policy, terms of service and more. A Hindi version of the trailer for Krafton’s latest game, however, could not be found on the website.
