How To Fix Wild Rift Login Issues January 2021

Both League of Legends and Wild Rift players are encountering login issues and errors when trying to play the game as some of the Europe West servers were down or causing players to disconnect. Riot support addressed the errors with League of Legends which caused the server status to be set at ‘Critical’.

Wild Rift players were also encountering errors that say 'Login timed out, please try again.' This message indicates that Wild Rift has trouble connecting to in-game servers. As of now, Riot’s Wild Rift server status indicates no recent issues or events to report. However, if players are still having issues they can report all issues here.

How To Fix Login Timed Out Error in Wild Rift

While there are several possible solutions to fix login timed out error including the VPN block and regular network issues from the players' end, the current login errors are due to issues with Riot servers. Unfortunately, until Riot fixes the issue from their end, there is little players can do from their end. 

To resolve other login timed out errors players could use the recent VPN Block. Riot has now prevented VPN access from the highest volume VPN services outside the beta regions effective immediately and continues to evaluate whether additional VPN services need to be added to the list. If players are trying to connect from outside the Wild Rift beta testing regions, they will likely encounter this error. 

Players can check the Wild Rift server status on the Riot Games Support page and report any issues they face using the link given on the page. Yesterday, EUW servers of League of Legends hosted Clash games, causing a large number of players to log in to participate. This seems to have put a strain on the League servers.
