After PUBG Mahayudh, esports tournament startup EWar Games has announced another squad-based tournament Free Fire. The 15-day long tournament called Free Fire Mahasangram will be held between 17th January and 31st January 2021 and will offer a prize pool of Rs. 1,50,000.
Free Fire Mahasangram Format And Prize Pool
Free Fire Mahasangram invites well-known pro teams across the Indian Free Fire landscape as well as underdog or amateur/rookie teams. The tournament has been divided into different stages: Qualifiers, Quarterfinals, Semi-Finals and Finals. The pre-invited pro teams will get a direct entry into the Semi-Final and Finale stages while the underdog teams that qualify from the first two stages will face these pro teams in the Semi-Final. As of now, Total Gaming, Noble Esports, GXR Esports, GZ Army and Tema chaos have been invited for Free Fire Mahasangram.

Registrations for the tournament are currently underway, and will end on 17th January; at least 5000 teams (consisting 4 team members in each team) are expected to register and participate in Free Fire Mahasangram
- Winner - Rs. 1,00,000
- Second Place - Rs. 30,000
- Third Place - Rs. 10,000
The ‘best underdog team’ (decided on the basis of ranking and the total number of Kills made during the tournament) will also get a prize of Rs. 10,000. Furthermore, EWar will be rewarding the participants with more than 50 DJ Aloks and more than 100 Top-ups as a part of the Giveaway contests within the tournament.
Speaking about the upcoming tournament, Mr. Parth Chadha, Founder & CEO, EWar Games says, “Ever since PUBG was banned in India, we have noticed a significant shift of players switching from PUBG to Garena FreeFire. The number of FreeFire gamers on EWar’s platform has increased remarkably in recent months. Keeping this in mind, we decided to conduct a mega tournament only for the FreeFire players and enthusiasts of the country. As with the other big esports tournaments hosted by EWar in the recent past, the ‘FreeFire Mahasangram’ will also attempt to provide a great platform for budding FreeFire gamers of our country to compete and prove their gameplay against some of the renowned ‘pro’ squads.”
