Riot said it was looking to bring a new competitive structure for the mobile MOBA in a recent 2021 Livestream. The developer said it wants to expand competitive play from League of Legends and VALORANT to its other IPs like Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and even Wild Rift. “Like League PC, Wild Rift is wildly competitive, with the depth, complexity, and high-stakes moments that make for a great sport,” said John Needham, the head of global esports at Riot. “While it’s still incredibly early, we’re excited to bring our passion and dedication for esports to mobile.”
Following the beta release of League of Legends: Wild Rift in Southeast Asia many organisations have decided to dip their feet into the mobile MOBA esports scene before it has even officially been kicked off by Riot. Team Secret is one such organisation which is looking out for highly skilled ranked players to join their Wild Rift lineup.
Team Secret will be holding a tryout for their Wild Rift team between 23rd and 24th January 2021. Players will need to be ranked Diamond I and above during Season 0 or should have at least reached Diamond II in Season 1. They must be able to communicate well in English, live in Southeast Asia and be 16 years or above in age. Click here to fill out the Team Secret Wild Rift Tryouts form. Players who want to participate need to fill out the form quickly since registrations close on 16th January.
