Critical X announced today in an Instagram post that they would be letting go of their Free Fire roster called CRX Elite. The organisation has let go of Taneja, Pahadi, Jonty and Iconic. The post reads ‘We would like to wish our superstars from CRX Elite a hearty farewell! The players, over the entire duration of partnership, have been exceptional and have been among the best Free Fire talents we’ve had the pleasure of working with. We continue to wish them unending success in all of their future endeavours and will always be grateful for their support to CriticalX during their time with us. CRX Elite will always be remembered as a top tier Free Fire team!’.

Why Did Critical X Disband CRX Elite?

This news comes as a bit of a shock to the Free Fire community as CRX Elite had made their mark in the esports scene and were quite popular among fans of the battle royale. CRX Elite had been dominant and were the table toppers of the Free Fire India Championship 2020 Fall League stages. The team managed to place second in the recently concluded Free Fire India Championship 2020. Pahadi took home a cash prize of INR 60,000 as the MVP of the Grand Finals at FFIC. This tournament was one of the biggest in the mobile game’s history and featured other well-known teams in the region like Total Gaming.

While player Jonty was recently in a controversy with Critical X and Stalwart Esports, none of the other players seem to have stepped out of line and given CRX Elite’s recent success and fame, this move seems a bit odd. AFK Gaming has reached out to Critical X for a comment regarding the same. We will update this space as and when we receive a response.
