Akshay Kumar To Launch FAU-G, A Desi Action Game

The ban on PUBG Mobile left the Indian mobile gaming scene shook. This coupled with the possibility of a ban on Free Fire has left many gamers looking for a homegrown alternative. Actor Akshay Kumar may pave the way with a multiplayer action game called  Fearless And United - Guards or FAU-G for short. 

In an Instagram post, Akshay Kumar announced the game saying it was a bid to support PM Narendra Modi’s Atma Nirbhar movement. 20% of the net revenue generated will be donated to #BharatKeVeer Trust. The 52-year-old actor also noted that besides entertainment, the players "will also learn about the sacrifices of our soldiers".

nCore is a mobile game and interactive entertainment company based out of Bangalore, India. They create and publish mobile games for the Indian market. The company will soon launch the multiplayer mid-core gaming title. Founder and Chairman of the gaming publisher, Vishal Gondal said, "It is a matter of great pride to respond to PM Modi's call and present the world a world-class game, which will not only help gamers in a virtual setting fight the forces of evil; but also positively contribute to nation-building by supporting our martyrs."

While, Dayanidhi MG, co-founder, and CEO added: "We have in-depth experience in different genres specially mid-core games. We managed genre-defining MOBA games like Vainglory of SuperEvil Megacorp for the worldwide audience. We have also worked with global studios like Rovio. We have an experienced team and is constantly expanding to bring the best talent together to create games that Indian gamers can relate to while playing." (ANI)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently spoken out in support of the games industry, encouraging the creation of games based on Indian culture. An official statement published on his website addressed the potential of India's games industry, a category which also includes video games. Modi also emphasised that "India should tap the huge potential in this area, and lead the international digital gaming sector by developing games that are inspired from Indian culture and folk tales." The launch of FAU-G seems to be a step in this direction.

Akshay Kumar’s Tryst with The Armed forces

Akshay Kumar had launched a donation portal called Bharat Ke Veer for families of soldiers killed in action in 2017. The actor launched the app and website “BharatKeVeer” on the occasion of Shaurya Diwas. Akshay Kumar thanked the government for helping him fulfil his dream with the launch of the platform that will provide financial help to the families of soldiers killed in action.

“Everybody wants to connect to people in uniform in their pain,” Akshay Kumar said. “It was a small dream and to fulfil this dream, our government really helped us. I want to thank everybody with my folded hands. My father was in Army and I am here as his son. Thank you, everyone.”
