The devs have been working on revamping one of the most iconic maps in PUBG Mobile for a while now. Erangel 2.0 finally made it to the global beta version of PUBG Mobile. This development was shared by the PUBG Mobile team on its Discord server where they also posted a brief introduction to Erangel 2.0. The 1.0 update is currently available only for Android users, iOS users will have to wait a little longer. It should be noted that since this is a beta update, these are subject to change before the developers come out with a stable version for the main game.

So when are we getting Erangel 2.0?

The developers released a statement saying, “We know that a lot of players are anticipating Karakin or even Erangel 2.0. We promise you that we are working on related content right now. Since Erangel 2.0 has received a lot of attention, we do have some good news to announce, the Dev team is putting the final touches to the map. We know it’s been a while, but by upgrading and replacing the most favourite map of all time, we have to grind this 2.0 map until it meets our expectations visually and performance-wise. We hope all of the players can adapt to Erangel 2.0 smoothly and please look forward to our patch updates in the second half of 2020.”

Erangel 2.0 is currently available in the Chinese version of PUBG Mobile called Game for Peace. Players can download the latest version of the game using the TapTap app.

PUBG Mobile beta 1.0 update

The beta 1.0 update for PUBG Mobile brings the new Erangel 2.0 map that has gone through some aesthetic changes to bring it up to the same standard as the latest beta map Livik and the previously revamped Mad Miramar map. Some new features have been added to the map including trenches, abandoned tanks and barricades. The area design for some iconic places like Mylta Power, Quarry, Prison, and others have also been upgraded. Players will also get their hands on a new weapon, M1014. There is a new Route Planner and waypoint system being added, along with a few balance changes and bug fixes. The Cheer Park will now feature more activities for the players to engage in, including showdowns.
