Garena Free Fire X Money Heist
Money Heist is a Spanish heist crime drama television series that is currently available on Netflix. With 2 seasons divided into 4 parts, the show traces two long and well-planned heists led by the cryptic Professor, one on the Royal Mint of Spain, and one on the Bank of Spain. It first had its original run of 15 episodes on Spanish network Antena 3 from May 2017 and was later acquired by Netflix with global streaming rights in late 2017, re-cutting the series and releasing them worldwide. The series received numerous awards which include the best drama series at the 46th International Emmy Awards. Now, Money Heist aims to bring it into the gaming sphere with a collaboration with Garena Free Fire. Money Heist has met with critical acclaim for its story, the dynamics between characters and, of course, the hit song ‘Bella Ciao’.
The song appears in their official teaser released on Free Fire India’s Official YouTube page. The video asks ‘Are you ready to join the Greatest Heist?’ The footage begins with a scene from a tanker at sea with armed men on board and the iconic Salvador Dalí masks from the show. It then cuts to the graphics of the game’s characters in a firefight against the masked men. The collaboration also unveils a ‘Plan Bermuda’, which leaks suggest is a revamp of the current Bermuda Map. The Garena Free Fire X Money Heist collaboration will be coming to the game in September.
Garena Free Fire has previously come up with some exclusive content in the past including Ragnarok-themed characters such as Assassin Cross, Poring, and Mr Smile Mask. Despite the difficulties posed by the global lockdown, Free Fire has been quite active recently, with numerous competitions announced in the last few months. Garena recently announced The Vengence event and has several other professional and casual online events in the pipeline.
