PMPL South Asia Announces Mountain Dew As Sponsor

PMPL South Asia have announced that soft drink brand, Mountain Dew will be joining them as platinum sponsors for the event. The tournament is the flagship event for the PUBG MOBILE fans in South Asia and is by far the most prestigious and coveted event. The tournament was preceded by the regional PMCO's which allowed teams from India, Nepal and Bangladesh to qualify for PMPL, where they were joined by the invited teams. The 4 week league was expected to run in March and April but given the currently ongoing global pandemic, the tournament was indefinitely postponed until it was announced that it will resume on the 22nd of May.

Teams who claim the top spot in the PMPLs will qualify for the PMWL and may even get a chance to compete in the biggest esports event of the year, PUBG MOBILE World Championship, which takes place in December and carries a substantial portion of the $5 million USD prize pool for the all-year esports program. New dates of PMWL will be announced soon as the entire PUBG MOBILE esports calendar has been affected by the global pandemic.
