- NODWIN Gaming terminates Mannu 'Krat' Karki over abusive behavior and issuing threats.
- His behavior was deemed to be 'objectionable and unacceptable'
Following yesterday's controversy where Indian PUBG MOBILE caster and NODWIN employee Mannu 'Krat' Karki was found using abusive language and making threats in a game of CS:GO, his employers have decided to terminate him. The decision comes after Krat owned up to the incident and issued an apology, but it seems as if the severity of his actions forced his employer's hands.
Many members from the Indian esports community called for strict action to be taken against Krat for his behavior and Nodwin too deemed his behavior to be 'objectionable and unacceptable.' The incident serves as a strong reminder on how not to behave on any platform and how serious the consequences can be. What started out as a night of gaming with friends for Krat, quickly blew up into something that he was not prepared for. It eventually led to his termination from the company, and will without a doubt, make his prospects in the Indian esports industry quite bleak.
Krat was a familiar face within the PUBG MOBILE community in India and was a part of the broadcast in almost all the big PUBG MOBILE events in the country. More recently he was seen working in the PMPL South Asia broadcast, but he will not not be making a return once the tournament resumes once the lock down due to the COVID-19 pandemic has been lifted.
Disclosure: NODWIN Gaming is a minority investor in and a client of AFK Gaming.
