There’s a reason why the MPL-ID or the Mobile Legends Professional League - Indonesia is touted as the most competitive division in MLBB. The winners and runners up for season 4 of MPL-ID, Evos Legends and RRQ proved that they are indeed the teams to beat at the 250,000 USD M1 World Championship, as they paved their way to the winners bracket finals.

Both teams finished top of their groups with a record of 6-1. In the upper bracket matches, RRQ took on Malaysian side, Todak, who won the last season of MPL - Malaysia/Singapore. However, it was a short affair as they brushed Todak aside 2-0 to move onto the winner bracket finals. A similar story ensued at the other end of the bracket where, Evos Legends took down the MPL Myanmar winners, the Burmese Ghouls in a relatively one-sided affair. RRQ will now face Evos Legends in the winner bracket finals, just like they did at MPL-ID.

In the lower brackets, Vietnam’s VEC Fantasy Main and Malaysia’s Axis Esports were eliminated at the hands of Sunspark and 10S Gaming Plus.
