Esmeralda is a unique tank-mage, with a good set of area of effect abilities and burst damage skills. Her first skill also lets her steal enemy shields. Max your second skill at the start and then your first skill and put points into Esmeralda’s ultimate whenever possible. Esmeralda has been in the meta for quite some time now. Upgrade skill 1 first if you want to prioritize surviving over dealing damage. Esmeralda builds both offensively and defensively with a mix of magic and tank items like Calamity Reaper, Feather of Heaven. Defensive items like Oracle and Queen’s Wings can also be built on her, making it hard for enemies to take her down. Esmeralda benefits most from the Mage emblem page, with upgrades in Agility and Observation giving her increased Movement Speed and Magic Penetration

This hero excels at dueling enemies and winning sustained fights. Her nature as a tank can allow her to initiate with her team or split push objectives, forcing enemies to come and stop her and allowing her to duel them and draw pressure off other areas of the map where her team can push uncontested.

How to play Esmeralda in Mobile Legends

Esmeralda’s abilities give her the best of both worlds, allowing her the poke of a mage character with the durability and charge powers of a tank.

  • Use the large range of Stardust Dance to enemies to reduce your own Frostmoon Shield cooldown and get some harass off enemies.

  • Use Frostmoon Shield before going in, or taking burst damage, as well as during long drawn out duels. Try to take full advantage of Stardust Dance’s cooldown reducer. Use it to siphon shields from your enemies and give yourself a beefy shield, perfect for keeping enemies struggling to whittle your health bar down.

  • Her ultimate ability, Falling Starmoon, allows her some burst damage and mobility. Charge it up before engaging to launch in and immobilize enemies.

  • Use her ultimate to apply some crowd control on your enemies while using her Stardust Dance and Frostmoon Shields to continue to harass enemies and tank damage.
