While many fans were thrilled about the game's announcement, one fan took a dig at the lack of release date and substance in the ten-second clip released on the Battlegrounds Mobile India YouTube channel.
Fans had been patiently waiting for the game’s return after PUBG Mobile along with 117 other apps was banned by the Indian government over user data security concerns on Sept 2, 2020. For the last eight months, Indian fans have had to deal with the uncertainty of PUBG Mobile’s return, including concerns about approval from government agencies, rumors going around about a release during Diwali 2020 and fake apps popping up on TapTap, along with various other unverified “official” release date claims circulating social media. So it is understandable that fans are impatient for more information. Battlegrounds Mobile India will have a pre-registration phase before launch and it will be available only in India.
