According to LEC commissioner Maximillian Peter Schmidt, Annie will not be available for play competitively in week 2. The details of the issue have not been shared by Riot to avoid exploitation of the bug.
League of Legends’ dark child and her ult were buffed in recent Patch 10.10. Her Molten Shield (E) got increased damage reduction and also buffed the aura damage on Tibbers.
Despite these buffs, Annie is still not seen in pro play. She hasn’t been picked in any of the Summer Split games for LEC, nor was she picked up in any games for the Spring Playoffs for the LCS, LCK or LPL. The last game we saw Annie was in week 9 of the LEC Spring Split in a game with Misfits against G2.
This competitive disable is still important to maintain a state of fair play in the LEC, since some bugs can be game-breaking and can be abused at such high level of play for a leg up in the competition.
The LEC continues on Friday, June 19 with Vitality set to play against Rogue.
