  • HotS adds Overwatch's Mei as tank, crowd control hero.
  • She retains some of her Overwatch abilities with the addition of a new giant snowball and slide.

Heroes of the Storm is getting their 9th Overwatch hero. Joining the roster is ice queen Mei. HotS’s Mei is similar to her Overwatch counterpart. She specializes in crowd control and has some of the same abilities including her ultimate, Blizzard. Mei also has some new abilities like being able to slide forward on an ice path and creating a giant snowball.

Mei's in-game abilities in Heroes of the Storm are as follows. These can be enhanced using Talents as the game progresses.

Blizzard had announced in 2019 that they were toning down production on Heroes of the Storm. Despite this declaration, Heroes of the Storm is still being supported with additions such as Deathwing from World of Warcraft and now Mei. Mei’s skins will be a series of pajama onesies.
