  • Amazon Prime launches free gaming benefits for Indian users.
  • Perks for games including MLBB, World Cricket Championship 2 and more.
  • New in-game content for other popular games to come out soon.

Indian Amazon Prime members can now access perks which include a tonne of free in-game content and a chance to participate in Prime-only tournaments for its members. They will now have access to exclusive collectables, characters, skins, power-ups, and in-game currency.

The games where Amazon is offering these benefits include Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Mafia City, World Cricket Championship 2 and Words With Friends 2. You also get free in-game content while signing in on your mobile with your Amazon Prime for mobile games such as the Black Desert Mobile and The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross.

How to access in-game content and benefits for Amazon Prime Members

A dedicated microsite has been created by Amazon India that lists all of the perks for Prime members. Once inside the game, look for the Amazon Prime banner that appears. Tap the banner and it will take you to the ‘Login With Amazon’ button on the pop-up screen. Use your Prime account username and password. You'll then be redirected to an Amazon page from where you need to allow access to your Amazon account. After that, your game will show you the Prime member rewards. “We will continue to add new in-game content for other popular games, with frequent content refreshes,” said Akshay Sahi, Director and Head of Prime, Amazon India.

For MLBB, players will get item chests as well as hero and skin trial cards as rewards:

US Amazon Prime members have been eligible to avail free mobile game content since September 2019. They also have access to Twitch Prime offerings that grant additional benefits such as channel subscriptions and access to selected video games for gamers involved in PC and console platforms. Amazon’s move to attract audiences from these games may be a response to Flipkart’s new gaming section.
